Robin Rene Cox Whetstone Lowery was born November 18, 1965, in Thomas, Oklahoma to Herbert and Ethel Cox. She was the youngest of five daughters. Robin died February 5, 2010 at Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon, she was 44 years old. She grew up in Taloga where she attended the Taloga School system. Robin earned various certifications in business and healthcare administration at Northwest Vo-Tech, Oklahoma State University, and High Plains Area Vo-Tech.
Robin was united in marriage to Arlyn Whetstone October 9, 1983. They made their home in Chester, Oklahoma where they raised their children, Rusty Donald and Daisy Arlene. Robin enjoyed raising her children through the years, and was active with their schooling and extra curricular activities. During the last few years, the highlight of her life was loving and enjoying her four grandchildren.
Robin worked most of her life in healthcare in Oklahoma and Alabama. In 2000, she moved to Birmingham to pursue employment opportunities. While living in Alabama, she married Timothy Scott Lowery in 2003. To be closer to her family she returned to Oklahoma in May of 2009, and resided in Mustang.
Robin was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Eugene Cox. She is survived by her mother, Ethel Cox; four sisters, Pamela Welch and husband Tom of Birmingham, Alabama; Brenda Shavor of Sayre, Oklahoma; Carol Ramsey and husband David of Chester, Oklahoma; and Cheryl Ragains and husband Kenny of Taloga, Oklahoma; daughter, Daisy Haffner and husband Doug of Seiling, Oklahoma; son, Rusty Whetstone and wife Caitlyn of Seiling, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Kloie Haffner, Mekenna Raeann, Haven Donald, and Kasin Ray Whetstone; other family and many dear friends.
