Rodger Myrl Wilkerson, age 74, of Shattuck, passed from this life on October 30, 2020.  He was born to Loyde Myrl and Betty Ruth (Lewis) Wilkerson on June 12, 1946 in Liberal, KS.  Rodger grew up around Turpin, OK.  He graduated from Turpin High School and lived in Turpin until 1968 when he and his first wife Linda Frazier moved to Shattuck, OK.  Three daughters were born to this union, Kari, Lisa, and Jill. He was married to Paula Sue Abbott on June 27, 1987 in Shattuck.  Rodger made his living as a contract pumper but really enjoyed working on antique tractors.  He and Paula attended many tractor shows, rides, and parades.  He will be remembered for loving his family, especially his grandkids and great grandkids.  Rodger was baptized as a child, and was a member of the Turpin Methodist Church.

Rodger is preceded in death by his father, Loyde Myrl Wilkerson.

He is survived by his wife Paula Sue Wilkerson of the home; three daughters: Kari Jones and husband Willis and their daughter Lauren Jones of Weatherford; Lisa Babcock and husband Chuck and their children Connor Babcock and wife Ashlea and Caitlyn Babcock of Edmond; and Jill Weaver and husband Wendell and their children Kelsey Idom and husband Steven of Shattuck, and Alli Wayland and husband Jake of Arnett; 2 great grandchildren: Brody and Bowen Idom with one more on the way; mother, Betty Wilkerson of Turpin; sisters Lynda Baylor and husband David of Oklahoma City, and Carolyn Henness and husband Gary of Turpin; uncle Bill Lewis of Optima; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of coffee shop friends.
