Rodrick Austin Via "Rick" of Woodward, OK was born December 26th 1958 in San Antonio, Texas to James R. and Betty June (Peeny) Via. He passed away Tuesday, April 12th, 2011 due to sudden complications of pulmonary fibrosis.
Rick loved to fish, cook, camp and hone his skills with woodworking projects. Most of all, Rick loved his job in the oilfield, and the brotherhood bonds of friendship form the fellas he worked with. He also loved "Kickin' it with his friends". He was a die hard Texas Longhorns fan.
Rick loved his wife with all his heart and will be missed by 30 years of oilfield brothers (trash), family & friends.
Rick was preceded in death by his father "JR" James Via and his grandparents, Lilly and Freedy Via.
He is survived by his loving wife of the home, Annette (Pierson) Via of Woodward, Oklahoma, older brother, Patrick R. Via of Round Rock, Texas, sister, Cinthia Ann Via (Cindy Sturrlock) of Wimberly, Texas, mother, Betty June Via of Austin, Texas, other family and a host of friends.
