Rogelio Rivas 22 year old Vici resident died tragically on July 11, 2012 west of Seiling, Oklahoma. Rogelio was born on September 10, 1989 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Jesus Elias and Cristina Lopez Rivas. He was raised in Vici, Oklahoma and attended Vici Public Schools. During his school days he enjoyed playing sports and being with friends. After school Rogelio went to work in the oilfield. He loved his work and appreciated Trinidad Oil Company and the opportunities they had provided. Rogelio also enjoyed working on old cars, listening to music and attending Mexican dances. He continued to enjoy time with friends, but learned to love time with his family. Rogelio was baptized as a young adult.

Rogelio was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donaciano Lopez, Jesus Maria Balderama and Herminia Ruiz de Rivas and by one niece Dayana Rivas.

He is survived by his parents, Jesus and Cristina Rivas of Vici, OK; twin brother, Ramiro Rivas of Vici, OK; sister, Vaneza Rivas of Vici, OK; brother, Cristoval Rivas and wife Erika of Elk City, OK; grandfather Jesus Maria Rivas of Santa Isabel, Chihuahua; nieces, Jazmein Arellano of Vici, OK and Yulissa Rivas of Chihuahua; nephews Christian and Christopher Rivas of Elk City, OK; aunts, uncles, other family and a host of friends.
