Services will be Saturday March 21, at 10:30am at the Vici Church of the Nazarene with interment following at Sunnyside Cemetery.

Ronald Dean McCleery, 77 year old from Vici, OK, died on March 18, 2015, at his home. Ron was born to Roy "Babe" and Vilma Eudora (Peard) McCleery on February 18, 1938, in Stockton, CA. In 1943, the family moved to Vici, OK, where Ron attended the Vici Public School System graduating with the Class of 1957. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy. He earned an electrical degree while enlisted. He was part of the Navy's Airdales and served as the electrical technician on constant surveillance flights from Midway to Alaska and was honorably discharged in August of 1963. Ron then went to work for PG&E where he worked his way up to Electrical Inspector at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. In 1972, he suffered a severe stroke and moved back to Oklahoma in 1973, later moving to Vici where he has resided ever since.
Ron married Sharon Lucille June, and two children were born to this union, Roy and Sharon "Sherrie".
Ron was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Vici, attending faithfully. Through the years he served as head usher and a greeter; he kept the Sunday School records; opened up the church for any function; made the coffee; he was the janitor, handyman, and grounds-keeper. If Ron saw a job that needed doing, he did it. During the remodeling of the church, he was there to help. Ron was a perfectionist and put his energy into all that he was in care of. He loved going to the local quick stop twice a day to visit with friends. He enjoyed a good movie and browsing the internet.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Vilma McCleery, brother Lee McCleery, sister Carolyn Hartzell, and nephews Greg File and Tom Jones.
He is survived by his son Roy McCleery of San Francisco, CA; daughter Sherrie Nicoletti of Grenada, CA; sisters Billie File of Gage, OK, Yvonne Crenshaw of Newcastle, OK, and Jackie Jones of Sharon, KS; numerous nephews and nieces; other family; and a host of friends
