Obituary

Rosaleta "Rosa" (White) Castor was born March 10, 1945 on the White farm in Mutual, Oklahoma to Willard and Hattie (Burtleson) White. She departed this life August 4, 2008 at her daughter MaLisa's home in Mannford, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years, 4 months, and 3 days.

Rosa attended Mutual and Vici schools in Oklahoma and graduated with the Class of 1963 in Baltimore, MD at Dundalk High School. Her interests were playing basketball and volleyball while in school.

Rosa was joined in marriage to Von Lorraine Castor on July 17, 1961 in Clayton, NM. Rosa and Von were settled in Sapulpa, OK in 1974, where four children were born to this union; Von Lorraine, Jr., MaLisa Rose, Marvin Dale, and Scott Alan. Later a special son, David Felix, joined the family. Due to Von's failing health the family home in Sapulpa was sold in December, 2004. Von and Rosa then moved to Mannford, OK for a year and a half before establishing their final residence in Enid, OK.

Rosa was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on September 6, 1964. Rosa loved to spend time caring for and being with the brethren. Her home was always open for anyone with a fresh meal waiting. She also enjoyed cooking, canning, decorating cakes, childcare, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren in their activities.

Rosa was preceded in death by her loving husband, Von Lorraine Castor; mother and father, Hattie and Willard White; by infant son, Von Lorraine, Jr.; by brothers, Lewis and Alvin White; and by sisters, Hazel White and Carol White-Plummer.
