Rosealyn "Rosey" Marie (Vanvolkenburg) Melton was born on April 2nd, 1998 in Wichita, Kansas to Nevada Dean and Shirley Inez (Bostick) Vanvolkenburg. Moved from Wichita to Oklahoma for a short time before moving to Snohomish, Washington. While in Washington, Rosey attended public school. She moved to Tahlequah when she got older, and moved again to Yale, Oklahoma.

On June 30th, 2018, Rosey married Jacob Tyler Melton in Tryon, Oklahoma. The couple resided in Choctaw, Oklahoma, and had recently moved into a home in Midwest City.

Rosey enjoyed the outdoors and had a special love for animals. She enjoyed horses and was the proud owner of two dogs and six cats. She loved to draw animals. Rosey was a member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn and was baptized December 29th, 2013. On September 3rd, 2020, Rosey passed from this life, but not before she got to welcome her son Sebastian into the world. Rosey was a loving wife and a wonderful person. Her smile lit up a room.

Rosey is preceded in death by her father Nevada Vanvolkenburg, mother-in-law Julia Melton, and nephew Ryder Melton.

Rosey is survived by her husband Jacob Melton and son Sebastian of Midwest City; mother Shirley Vanvolkenburg of Snohomish; Honorary Parents Mike and Leandra Renshaw of Arlington; brothers Brandon and Sam and sister Emily of Snohomish; brother Ezekiel and sister Mckayla Vanvolkenburg of Oregon; many extended and joint family members and a host of loved ones and friends.

Rosey will be missed by many and loved by all.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 9th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Choctaw General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. Graveside services were held at 3:00 p.m. the same day at Sunnyside Cemetery in Vici.
