Ruthie Clothile Prichard, 77, of Vici, passed away on March 19, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Ruthie was born on April 11, 1931 in Burke Burnett, Texas to William and Nanny Elizabeth Christian. She was raised there and in Sanford, Texas, and graduated from Phillips High School in Phillips, Texas.
Ruthie married Raymond Prichard on June 14, 1947, in Panhandle, Texas, not long after he returned from World War II. They lived in Sanford and Borger, Texas; Augusta, Ga.; Pasco, Wash.; and in Southern California for 35 years. They had one son, Ronald Ray Prichard.
She worked as a bank teller and, for 16 years, as a bookkeeper for the Fullerton Union High School District. They retired and moved to Vici in 1988, where they enjoyed fishing and gardening. They were married 61 years.
She is survived by husband Raymond; son Ronald and daughter-in-law Laura, of Seattle, Washington, as well as grandaughter Annika; brother-in-law William D. Prichard and sister-in-law Katherine Prichard of Pochahontas, Ark.; sister-in-law Mae Christian of Kalispell, Mont.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Tuffy Christian of of Kalispell, Mont. and Estel Christian of Sanford; brothers-in laws Cleo, J.C., Babe and Earnest Lee Prichard; and sister-in-law Georgia Jones.
A private memorial will be held in Seattle in the near future
