Obituary

On the special day of April 22, 1964, a few hours upon arriving at Pueblo, Colorado, a little baby girl named Shelby Diana came into the life of Eddie and Clarneta Seidel and their first daughter Shawna. This little girl was special because she joined the family the same day that her mother was born. Four years later Shelby's younger sister Shanda was born. As the years went by, Shelby attended school in Pueblo, Colorado from Kindergarten through the second grade when her family decided to move to Moore, Oklahoma where she spent the next three years of her life. After her fifth grade year at Moore, the family moved again this time to the town of Vici, Oklahoma where she attended Vici High School participating in FFA, softball, basketball, and played on the boy's baseball team. She graduated from Vici in the spring of 1982. In October of 1981, Shelby started dating her future husband Darren. Shelby and Darren were married on March 19, 1982 in Oklahoma City. On October 14, 1983 their first son was born with the name of Tyler Chase. On August 6, 1988, their second son was born named Tanner Wayne. Three years later on the same day August 6, 1991, Joshua Tate was born.

Through these years, Shelby worked at the Vici Nursing Home, Bud's Grocery, Dairy Land, and Granny's Quick Stop in Vici. In November of 1993, the family moved to Laverne, Oklahoma where they lived for two years. Then in May 1995, the family decided to move to Perryton, Texas where Shelby became secretary for her husband at Star-Jet Services. In 1998, she went to work for J&R Sand doing road construction north of Perryton before moving to Pampa, Texas. While at Pampa, she got a job working for United Supermarket. In the spring of 2001, they would move back to Oklahoma to the town of Purcell. While at Purcell, Shelby assisted in cooking the pre-game meals for the high school football team. In 2003, the family moved back to Vici where the family resides. Shelby became active in helping the Vici Lions Club. She started working for H&R Block and later started working at the Vici Nursing Home. She then joined the Vici-Camargo EMS Board and decided to help the community. Shelby enjoyed camping, boating, riding sea-doo's, fishing and hunting. She also enjoyed bowling, bingo, and attending her son's sporting events.
