Sherry Diane Stout was born on September 8, 1942, in Lancaster, CA. and peacefully passed away on January 12, 2024.  She was the beloved daughter of Leston Clyde and Viola Mae Stout.

Sherry's early years were spent in the Higgins, TX, community, where she attended Bishop schools. She proudly graduated from Higgins High School in 1960. Later, she moved to Lubbock, TX, and found employment as a dedicated file clerk for the Lubbock Police Department.

A loving mother, Sherry cherished her two children, Mike and Kelly. Her family meant everything to her, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. Sherry's hobbies included playing poker and staying connected with friends and family on Facebook.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Leston and Viola Stout, her brother Kevin Stout, sister Pamela Stout, and other cherished loved ones. She is survived by her son, Mike McCarty of Lubbock, TX., her daughter, Kelly Bond of Abilene, TX. and her sister, Karen Rampy of Higgins, TX. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three nieces, one nephew, as well as other relatives and friends.

In honoring Sherry Diane Stout's memory, her family and friends gather to celebrate a life well-lived and remember the joy and love she brought to those around her. May she rest in peace.
