Shirley Irene (Puffenberger) Henexson, 85 year old resident of Camargo, OK, passed from this life on May 16, 2020.  Shirley was born March 4, 1935 in Washington D.C. to Albert Cyrus and Bonnie Chloe Puffenberger.  She grew up in Washington D.C. and attended Eastern High School graduating with the class of 1952.  Shirley met the love of her life, Leroy, at the church she attended and from there they were together always.

On October 1, 1953, Shirley married Elzie Leroy Henexson in Rockville, MD and to this union four children were born Terry, Eugene, Deanna, and Kay.  They lived in Washington D.C. from 1953-1955; Richmond, VA 1956-1964; Columbus, OH 1964-1965; Pickerington, OH 1965-1990; and Camargo, OK 1990-present.  Shirley was the best homemaker and a much loved member of the community.  She enjoyed sitting in the shop while Leroy and his band played.  Shirley enjoyed attending her grandkids' ballgames and keeping up with all her grandchildren and children in various parts of the country.  She was a member of the Ladies Club of Camargo and South Canadian Neighbors.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Chloe Puffenberger and brother Harold Puffenberger.

She is survived by her husband of the home Leroy Henexson of Camargo, OK; children Terry Zeller of Plainfield, IN, Eugene Henexson of Camargo, OK, Deanna Blair of Ramona, CA, and Kay Smith of Camargo, OK; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
