Stephen Neil Whipple passed from this life on January 21, 2011 at the age of 63. He was born in Bend, Oregon on October 7, 1947, the son of Melvin and Helen (Roberts) Whipple.
Stephen graduated from high school in 1966 and in September of that same year he was united in marriage to Alice Speight. They were blessed with the birth of their only child, Albert "Tye". The family made their home for a time in Ferndale, Washington.
Stephen was a very talented artist and enjoyed spending his time being creative. He worked for several years as a welder for Everett's Welding in Vici, Oklahoma. He incorporated his artistic skills into his work as a welder. He also worked on boats.
He liked spending his leisure time visiting with friends and playing music. He especially enjoyed spending time being creative and his artistic skills were enjoyed by many people.
Stephen attended church at the Crown Height Baptist Church in Woodward as well as the Community Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Helen Whipple. He is survived by his son, Tye Whipple and wife Tricia of Woodward, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Sidney Barnett and Sheena Dauphin of Woodward, Oklahoma; sisters, Valerie Wierleske of Bonanza, Oregon and Teresa Highland of Klamath Falls, Oregon; uncle, Tye Roberts of Bellingham, Washington, several nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
