Susie Louise McNeill of Vici went to be with her Lord on July 16, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Susie was born March 17, 1940 to Johnnie Lee (Jackson) and Thurman Wall in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Susie was united in marriage to Douglas McNeill in Vernon, Texas on February 4, 1961. To this union two children were born: Mitchell McNeill and Jessie Don (Donny) McNeill. Her love for her children was known to all. Susie was then blessed with 8 grandchildren; Doug McNeill, Lindsay McNeill, Brandon McNeill, Dakota McNeill, Chandler McNeill, Elyssa McNeill, and Jacob McNeill, and one great grandchild Emalie McNeill.
Susie followed her husband on various construction sites taking them from Mississippi to Western Oklahoma where they settled in Vici, Oklahoma in 1971. At this time Susie and Doug purchased a small farm and started McNeill Construction where she helped manage the office. Susie later served as a house manager at High Plains Outreach Center for 15 years until she retired.
Susie enjoyed spending time with her children and supporting them in all their activities. She especially enjoyed taking her grandchildren fishing at the pond and spending time with her closest friends Cheryl Barr, Cleta Sanders and Doris Randolph, where they would talk about, and try to out brag each other on their children. Susie was always thoughtful and caring to others. She loved gardening; working in her yard and playing with her dog Duchess. Susie attended the Vici United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading the gospels. She accepted the Lord as her savior and was proud to talk about it.
Susie was preceded in death by her mother, Johnnie Lee Kilgore and her father, Thurman Wall and one brother Ray Wall.
Susie is survived by her children; Mitchell McNeill and wife Joannie of Woodward, Oklahoma; Jessie Don McNeill and wife Athena of Ardmore, Oklahoma; sister Joan Towrey of Waynesville, North Carolina; sister-in-law Arvella Wall; brothers James Kilgore of Blair, Oklahoma and Darrell Kilgore of Vici, Oklahoma; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; as well as many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vici Nursing Home where Susie spent her last year. The family would like to thank the Vici Nursing Home for the wonderful care provided to Susie.
