Sylvia Jean Smith of Vici, Oklahoma passed from this life on June 30, 2013 at her home. She was born on April 4, 1947 to Thomas Curtis and Dixie June Claiborne Medlin in Mineral Wells, Texas.

Sylvia's family lived in the Mineral Wells area and Sylvia attended Mineral Wells public schools. On February 14, 1990 in Woodward, Oklahoma Sylvia married James Smith. The couple lived in Woodward and west of Vici, Oklahoma. Sylvia was blessed with three children: Larry David, Theresa Michelle and Stacy Lynn.

Sylvia worked as a nurse's aid. She was honored by being selected as Grace Living Center Employee of the month. She enjoyed barrel races at Mineral Wells. She was an awesome mother and a great friend!

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Dixie Medlin. She is survived by son Larry Reilly of Longdale, Oklahoma; daughter Terri Rhoades of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and daughter Stacy Guthrie of Frisco, Texas; 3 brothers, Billy, Kenneth and Curtis Medlin; 1 sister, Tommie June Trollinger; step children Veronica Aleman of Wichita Falls, Texas, Sherrie Spearman of Henrietta, Texas, Kristine Vasquez of Wichita Falls; 18 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 23 nieces and nephews and special friend Ernie Kellner of Vici, Oklahoma and many, many friends.
