Obituary

Tammy Renee Guy was born December 29, 1969 at the Woodward Memorial Hospital in Woodward, OK. she was the first born of Rodney and Twylah (Hutchison) Guy. Her first years were spent on the Hutchison ranch south of Harmon, OK. before her family moved to Vici, OK.  Following her Dad's enlistment in the U. S. Army they resided in Senden, Germany for three years.  A little brother, Chris was born at Augsburg Germany in 1973.  Upon returning stateside they landed at Fort Sill, Lawton, OK .and from there to Searcy AR. where Tammy began kindergarten and she gained a baby sister, Jeanna. As Rodney was involved in missionary work, a move was made to Huron and Watertown, S.D. where another sister, Tarah completed the family.  After the mission in Sioux Falls, S.D. was completed the family came full circle and returned to Woodward, OK. where Tammy graduated from high school.  Tammy participated in numerous activities during her school years, she was a cheerleader, a member of the Brownies and Girl Scouts, a chorus member, a set designer for school plays, she was a spelling bee winner and a Sr. class favorite. As the oldest child she was a caregiver for her younger siblings when the family lived in South Dakota and managed a DVD shop.  While a high school student at Woodward she was employed at the Dairy Queen, served as a lifeguard at Crystal Beach and after graduation she worked in the office of Waugh Oil Drilling Co.  She furthered her education by attending Oklahoma Christian University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. Tammy worked as a cashier at Local Federal Bank in Edmond, OK. and later as a secretary at the Bank of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, OK.  She lived for a time in Kobe, Japan where she taught English in various schools and also did tutoring for adults. She returned stateside to reside in Little Rock, AR. where she worked at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum.  Her duties there included research, preparing itineraries for visiting dignitaries and she was the publicity photographer.  She returned to college and attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR, receiving a degree in Transportation Logistics and was employed as a purchasing agent for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Tammy received numerous awards during her school days and her years of employment.  She was baptized at the age of fourteen and was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.  She loved mountain hikes, music and art and her passion was reading books, she had hundreds.

In 1998 Tammy became the mother of a son, Joshua Dale whom she loved dearly.  She adored her siblings and her nephews Dylan, Hunter, Caleb, Sam and Luke.  She was deeply loved by her family and friends. Tammy entered Heaven May 25, 2023 at the age of 53, she will be extremely missed until we meet again.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Harold Dean and Tomalene H. Hutchison and her grandpa Hurshell D. Guy, an uncle Galen Charles Hutchison, a sister-in-law Melanie Lynn Guy and other loved ones.  Her memory will be cherished by her son Joshua Dale, her parents Rodney and Twylah Guy, her siblings Christen Guy, Tarah Holcomb and Jeanna Owens.  Her grandmother Bernice Guy, her companion and best friend Ronald Dugger, her dear friend Lisa Bilello, her favorite little buddy Avery, three aunts and two uncles, other relatives and friends.
