Thelma Mae (Owens) Craig was born on July 24, 1937 in Aledo, OK to Charlie Lee and Florence Elizabeth (Ferrell) Owens.  She passed from this life on October 26, 2017 at the age of 80 years.  Thelma grew up in the Rhea area and graduated from Leedey High School in 1957.  On October 15, 1959 she was united in marriage to Bob Carl Craig in Las Cruces, NM.  Their marriage was blessed with two wonderful children: a daughter, Carlene Mae and a son, Bob Carl Jr.  The family took up residence in Oklahoma City remaining there until Bob retired.  Bob and Thelma moved back to Leedey where they enjoyed being closer to family and watching their granddaughter in all of her school activities.  Thelma was a homemaker who loved cooking and caring for her family.  She also worked alongside of Bob helping him with his roofing business.    She always had a garden, sharing the fruits of her labor with friends and neighbors.    Thelma enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren.  After breaking her leg, she spent many an hour with a colored pencil in her hand beautifully coloring the pages of books her family would bring her.   Thelma was a member of the Leedey Church of Christ and was baptized as a teenager.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Florence Owens, her son Bob Carl Jr., a sister Wanda Meyer, a brother Charles Owens, and a brother-in-law Bobby Gragg.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter Carlene Trojack of Leedey, OK; granddaughter Elizabeth Trojack of Lahoma, OK; great-grandchildren Aaron Craig, Amalie Swenson, Lilly Swenson and Katelyn Maddux; sisters Arveta Bailey and husband Kenneth of Oklahoma City, OK, and Patsy Gragg of Butler, OK; brother Chester Owens and wife Barbara of Leedey, OK; brother-in-law Delbert Meyer of Leedey, OK; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
