Tina Kathleen (McMurphy) Smith was born February 1, 1965 in Alva, Oklahoma to Edwin and Jane (Nieman) McMurphy. She passed from this life, with her family at her side, on October 16, 2007 at the age of 42.

Kathleen's high school years were spent attending Fargo High School, graduating with the Senior Class of 1983.

Kathleen was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Darrell Wayne Smith, on October 23, 1982 in the Liberty Baptist Church. They made their home south of Fargo, Oklahoma.

Kathleen worked for a number of years as a clerk for Modern Appliance Company in Woodward. She loved to spend her free time watching her nieces and nephews play sports and were one of their biggest fans. Above all, she enjoyed the time spent with her family and special pet Pepper, "Pep", the family dog. Kathleen also enjoyed attending Sunday worship service at South Persimmon Baptist Church.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Marie McMurphy. Those remaining to cherish her memory are husband, Darrell of Fargo; parents, Ed and Jane McMurphy of Sharon, Ok; parents-in-law, Nolan and Dorothy Smith of Fargo, OK; brother, Monty McMurphy and wife Melisa of Sharon, OK; sister, Mari Lou Lawrence of Elk City, OK; sister-in-law, Vonda Smith of Fargo, OK; nephews, Chris Lawrence, Jon Lawrence, and Martyn McMurphy and wife Elizabeth; nieces, Melia McMurphy, Megan McMurphy, Ashlee Lawrence, Megan Phillips, and Morgan Phillips; by several aunts, uncles, other family members, and many friends.
