Gage resident, Tracy Floyd Broadbent, passed away on May 10, 2010 at the age of 49. Tracy was born to William Floyd and Carol Day Broadbent on August 2, 1960 at Clinton, Oklahoma.

Tracy attended school in Elk City, Canute, and Hammon. He enjoyed playing grade school basketball while in school. He loved spending time with family, friends, and especially his children. He was a very loving father. He lived at Canute, Hammon, Laverne, Rosston, Butler, and most recently at Gage for the past 9 years.

Tracy's lifetime career was spent in the oilfields. He was as a tireless worker in the oil patch. Many times he drove long distances to and from work, regardless of weather, to be able to support his family. He was currently working for Unit Drilling out of Oklahoma City.

When not working he always enjoyed watching his favorite old television shows; Gunsmoke, The Beverly Hillbillies, The 3 Stooges, and Andy Griffith. He also liked to try his luck at the Casinos.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was baptized at the young age of 11.

Tracy was preceded in death by his father, William Floyd Broadbent; paternal grandparents, William and Sarah Broadbent; maternal grandparents, Leslie and Wilma Day; infant brother, Curtis Leon Broadbent; and brother, Troy Stephen Broadbent.

He is survived by his children, William Broadbent and Sarah Broadbent of Gage, Oklahoma; mother, Carol Forbes and husband Jack of Gage, Oklahoma; brother, Hayes Broadbent of Butler, Oklahoma; step-brothers, Pleas Hayes of Clinton, Oklahoma and Harry Hayes of Elk City, Oklahoma; by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
