Velma Irene Morris was born May 31, 1938 at Webb, Oklahoma to John and Fay (Greer) Morris. Velma was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on January 27, 1952 and lived the faith through the remainder of her days. Velma passed from this life May 17, 2009 in her home at Rocky, Oklahoma.

Velma attended school in her early years at Long Creek near Webb, then Homestead schools, and finished in Okeene. Velma married Alvin (Alvie) Baker May 29, 1955 at the Church of the Firstborn at Vici, Oklahoma. To this union was born two daughters, Janet Marie and Anita Joan. Velma lovingly cared for Anita until she passed away December 27, 1977.

Alvie and Velma owned and operated the Baker Furniture & Electric retail store in Vici for 26 years. During their life together Velma and Alvie were able to travel and see many places like Rome and Cancun. Alvie passed from this life November 3, 1981.

Velma married Scott Lund July 20, 1985 at the Church of the Firstborn at Vici. In this union, Velma gained six children whom she cared for and loved as her own. Velma always said she would follow Scott to the ends of the earth. Scott moved to Rocky, to Vici, back to Rocky, Carlin, Nevada, Grand Junction, Colorado, back to Vici, back to Grand Junction, before retiring in Rocky, Oklahoma June 2007 and Velma always followed, even in death. Scott Lund passed from this life March 20, 2009.

Through her life she always had a love for God, the brethren, going to church, and all of her family. Velma always was a person who made you feel good being around, through her kind words and the warm smile on her face.

Velma is survived by one daughter Janet Robinson of Oklahoma City, two brothers: Leroy Morris of Taloga and Freddie Morris of Vici, six children whom she gained when she married Scott, four sons: Wendell and Anjulia Lund of Rocky, Paul and Wendy Lund of North Fairfield, Ohio, Jeremy and Lorri Lund of Clinton, Dustin and Cachly Lund of Cordell, two daughters: April and Shannon Hendricks of Rocky and Lacy and Ken Gray of Agra; 20 grandchildren: Lauren (Giblet) Dobbs, Lee Giblet, Cecelia Lund, Whitney Lund, Sarah Lund, Austin Lund, Teia (Tia) Lund, Ashley Lund, PJ Lund, Bret Lund, Alisha Lund, Xavier (Zavier) Lund, Karlee Lund, Bryonna (Bree-ona) Lund, Zane Hendricks, Savannah Hendricks, Tre (Tray) Gray, Orin Gray, Gavin Gray and Nolan Gray; two great-grandchildren: Jaiden (Jay-den) Dobbs and Corben Dobbs, many brethren, family and friends.

Velma was preceded in death by her mother and father, one daughter Anita, husbands Alvin Baker and Scott Lund, four brothers: Norman, Arthur, Elmer and Alvin; three sisters: Ruth, Alma and Thelma; one son-in-law Denny Robinson and one daughter-in-law Gabriela Lund.
