Vickie Jeraldene (Eaves) Craven, 57 year old resident of Copper Canyon, Texas, passed from this life on January 1, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. Vickie was born in Duncan, Oklahoma, on May 10, 1951, to Lloyd Victor and Patsy Marie (Durham) Eaves. The family lived in Davis, OK, Kermit, TX, San Jose, CA and Arnett, OK.

Vickie attended school at San Jose Johnson County School, Davis Public School and Arnett High School graduating with the class of 1969. Vickie continued her education at Rose State in Midwest City, OK, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

Vickie's interest in nursing was inspired from caring for Clyde during his three year illness. Prior to nursing she was the Arnett City Clerk, an EMT volunteer and loving homemaker. Vickie loved being a nurse and worked many hard and long hours as Director of Nursing at Pampa, TX and Amarillo, TX, Nursing and Rehab facilities. Later working at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, TX and the Oncology Department at Denton Regional Medical Center, Denton, TX.

On February 3, 1968 Vickie married Clyde Boyd at the United Methodist Church in Arnett. Two children blessed this union, Michael Jay and Shala Denise. Vickie lost Clyde at a young age in August of 1982. In August of 1985 Vickie married Randy Immel. On March 17, 1993 Vickie was united in marriage to Lyndon Craven and was blessed with five step-children, Alan, John, Candace, Jeffery and Patrick. The couple made their home in Copper Canyon, TX.

Vickie enjoyed quilting, sewing, needlework and gardening. She was very involved with the family and was always the first to arrive in a time of need. She was baptized at the United Methodist Church in Davis, OK.

Vickie was preceded in death by husband Clyde Jay Boyd. She is survived by her husband Lyndon Craven of Copper Canyon, TX; son Michael Jay Boyd and wife Rhonda of Chickasha, OK; daughter Shala Flock of Harrold, TX; parents Lloyd and Pat Eaves of Arnett, OK; sister Glenna Leik and husband Al of Bartlesville, OK; sister Debbie Collins and husband Jimmy of Arnett, OK; step-children Alan Craven of Hearnie, TX, John Randolph and wife LeAndra of Newkirk, OK, Candace Adams and husband Terry of Abilene, TX, Jeffery Craven of Alpine, TX and Patrick Craven of Midland, TX; 7 grandchildren Amanda Boyd, A.J. Boyd, Layla Boyd and Taylor Boyd, Jancee Flock, Jordan Flock and Dalton Flock; 5 step-grandchildren, Tyler Randolph, Dustin Dunn, Cade Cooper, Kailynn Craven and Zachery Craven; 4 aunts, 3 uncles, 4 nieces, 2 nephews, other family and a host of friends.
