Obituary

Vickie Lea Peacock, 77, of Arnett, Oklahoma, passed away on November 30, 2025, in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. She was born on March 18, 1948, in Richfield, Kansas, to Howard V. Hall and Lois L. (McClure) Hall. Vickie grew up in Elkhart, Kansas, where she graduated from Elkhart High School. Growing up, she loved being outdoors-especially riding horses and competing in barrel racing.

Vickie was well-known in the community for her years working at the Longhorn Bar where she proudly crafted what many call the best burger around. Her warm personality, quick wit, and steady presence made her a friend to all who walked through the door.

A dedicated sports fan, Vickie rarely missed the chance to cheer for her favorite teams-the Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Arnett Wildcats. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and sports were one of her favorite ways to connect with family and friends. Vickie also loved to crochet and read in her spare time.

Vickie was a member of the Arnett Christian Church and devoted her life to Christ. Her faith was a guiding foundation throughout her journey.

She is preceded in death by her father, Howard Victor Hall; her mother, Lois Lenore (McClure) Hall; her infant brothers Ronald Hall, Donald Hall, and Patrick Hall; and her grandson Braden James Peacock.

Vickie is survived by her son, Jim Peacock (Vicki) of Elkhart, Kansas; her daughters, Tammy Hufford of Elk City, Oklahoma; and Angie Colborn (Brandon) of Windsor, Colorado; her brother, Dick Hall (Carol) of Elkhart, Kansas; her sister, Honey Hickman of Woodward, Oklahoma; her sister by choice, Lovella Booth of Higgins, Texas; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Suthers of Arnett, Oklahoma, and sister-in-law Cathy Neagle of Wagoner, Oklahoma. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who loved her dearly.

Vickie will be remembered for her loving heart, her strong faith, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.
