Vickie Marie Hand, daughter of Orville Cecil Grant and Hazel Marie (Wadley), was born February 13, 1957, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. She passed from this life on September 12, 2025, in Canyon, Texas, at the age of 68.

Vickie grew up in the Amarillo area and attended Caprock High School. She was united in marriage to John Hand, and together they made their home in Higgins, Texas.

Vickie was a devoted wife, homemaker and mother to her three children, Jadon, Pattie and Timothy.  She also worked as a cook at Perk's Convenience Store, where she was well-known for her exceptional cooking and baking skills. She took great pride in preparing meals, whether for her family, friends, or customers.

Vickie will be remembered for her kind and thoughtful nature. She had a heart for caring for others, including her beloved dog, Charley. In her leisure time, she enjoyed relaxing with her favorite television shows and spending time with those she loved. She was a member of the Higgins Church of the Nazarene, where she enjoyed fellowship and worship with her church family.

She is preceded in death by numerous loved ones who welcomed her into her eternal home.

Vickie is survived by her husband, John Hand; her children, Jadon Hartmann, Pattie Frost, and Timothy Payne; her sister, Trish Gallegos; as well as other relatives and many dear friends.

Her legacy of kindness, love, and hospitality will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
