Wilbert Otho Davidson, Sr. was born to Cecil I. and Gladys Worley Davidson at San Benito, Texas on February 18, 1934.
W.O. attended school through the 9th grade in the hometown of his parents. He joined the U.S. Army at the age of 17 and was deployed to Japan where he served in the Military Police from 1951 to 1953. Upon his discharge from the service he became a welder and a pipefitter.
Louise Buxton eventually became the love of his life and they were married at Richland, Washington on August 28, 1979.
W.O. joined the Church of Christ and was baptized in 1969. He remained a faithful member of the church throughout his lifetime. His special interests included Reading and collecting guns and coins. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization of Seiling, Oklahoma and Pipefitters union shop #142.
Those preceding him in death were his parents, Cecil and Gladys Davidson; two sisters, Pearl Hale and Marymae Flanigan and a brother Alan Davidson.
W.O. had five children by a previous marriage. His surviving children and their spouses are Andrea Sue and Earl Johnson of Smackover, Arkansas; Wilbert Otho Davidson, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Hesperia, California; Julie and Bobby Metier of Bath, South Carolina; Ira Ray and Janice Davidson of Port Lavaca, Texas and John Mitchell Davidison and his wife, Myra, of Riverside, California.
Other surviving members of the family are W.O.'s beloved wife, Louise, of the home in Vici; two brothers, Cecil and George Davidson and a sister, Jimmie Young. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, eight nieces, six nephews and many dear friends.
