Dear Wesley Ehrlich known as "Poppy" passed from this life and went straight to heaven on May 28, 2020.  He died at home in his bed with his pillow and weiner dog, Henry, lying next to him.

He was born January 10, 1949 to Wesley and Wilma Ehrlich.  He attended Shattuck School his entire life.  He started summer school in 1967 at Bethany Nazarene College. Upon returning home, he met his "love at first sight."  Wesley and Claudette were married on July 6, 1968.  The family quickly grew in 1969 with the birth of a son, Nathanael Patrick Ehrlich and in 1972 the birth of their daughter, Anna Maree who would later marry Chris Sconyers.  Wesley graduated from BNC with a degree in Physical Education and a minor in Science.  He later obtained his Master's Degree in Education (Claudette was living at Alva pursuing her degree- he couldn't live without her, so he joined her to earn his Master's).

The family lived in Shattuck where Wesley farmed, taught school and coached.  In 1980, the family moved to the farm where he would lead his family in planting thousands of trees creating a "sanctuary."

After retiring from teaching and farming, Wesley joined Claudette at the Tag Office where he would compete with her on a daily basis…The love they had for each other was "simply unexplainable."

All his life was immersed with Boy Scout projects such as field trips…every week… and a journal to prove it.  He made Eagle Scout as a young 14 year- old boy and still talks about his hikes.  In addition, he had a love for the water (especially diving) from the age of 2, when his sisters dressed him in a girls' bathing suit.

He would NEVER miss an opportunity to teach a nature lesson as he was an avid "conservationist."  He also introduced pawn shops to his grandson, Reece, at the tender age of 11.  His family was the love of his life and his grandchildren, Arin, Alexis, and Reece did no wrong. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents Wesley and Wilma Ehrlich and his father and mother-in-law Claude Lee (Doc) and Mary (Mert) Myers.  He is survived by his wife, Claudette of the home; children, Nathan Ehrlich and his wife Darla of Enid; Annie Sconyers and husband Chris of Shattuck; 3 grandchildren, Arin Ehrlich, Alexis Sconyers and Reece Sconyers; sister Karen Fuqua and husband Lael of Bethany, OK; sister Janice Williams and husband Wally of Oklahoma City, OK; uncle Retired Rear Admiral Albert Kelln and wife Cecily of Llano, TX; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

We are sending you out to the theme of the Lone Ranger which was his very favorite song… he played it at the office every morning right after the Star Spangled Banner.  You see he was still a little boy at heart.
