William Louis Hosier was born June 10, 1942 at home in Arnett, Oklahoma to William Clyde Hosier and Violet Bell Ferguson Hosier. He passed from this life, at his home in Woodward, Oklahoma with family at his side on December 10, 2010 at the age of 68 years.

William grew up in Arnett and attended Arnett High School. On September 13, 1968 he married Carolyn Faye Peacock in Woodward, Oklahoma. To this union five children were born, Brenda, Betty, Billy, Leslie and Sherry. William moved several times living in Arnett, Beaver, Amber, Okeene, Elk City, Great Bend, Kansas, and Woodward, Oklahoma. On September 10, 1987 William married Lila Marie Maggard in Elk City, Oklahoma.

William worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard and playing cards, but most of all William loved spending time with his family and his friends.



William is preceded in death by his parents William and Violet Hosier; daughter ,Sherry Hosier, sisters, Bessie Peacock, Elsie Hosier, Genevie Garrett and Violet Brummett; brothers, Leslie Hosier, Billy Hosier and Joseph Hosier. William is survived by daughters, Brenda Gross and husband Mike of Arnett, Betty Hosier of Woodward; sons, Billy Hosier and wife April of Arnett, Leslie Hosier and wife Jessica of Woodward; 7 grandchildren, Jeffrey Gross, Ashley Hobbs, Stone Shea and Courtney Shea, William Hosier, Braxtyn and Breelyn Hosier; brothers, Henry Hosier and Robert Hosier, sisters, Mary Bryant, Evelyn Dudley, and Lula Barton, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
