Funeral services will be held at the Church of the Nazarene in Harmon Oklahoma at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 18, 2015. Burial will follow at the Harmon Cemetery.

Winona "Nona" June (Jones) Phillips, 80 year old Arnett, OK resident passed from this life on July 15, 2015 at the Vici Nursing Home. Nona was the fourth child of Edward William and Inez Mary (Floyd) Jones born on June 14, 1935. Nona grew up in the Harmon, OK area attending school at Parkman School and then at Arnett, OK.

On April 23, 1953 she married Elmer Earl Phillips. They lived in Higgins, TX, where they worked together haying for people. Elmer and Nona enjoyed going to rodeo parades with their horses and wagons. While living in eastern Oklahoma, Nona worked in a chicken factory and later, worked for Franklin Electric in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, where she retired. Nona also lived in Kansas, OK, before returning to Arnett.

Nona became like a second mother to Ronnie Pepper, Claude Phillips, Jesse Phillips and Matt Phillips, after the loss of their mother and dad.

Nona liked to crochet, embroidery and make quilts. She enjoyed going shopping at Woodward with the senior citizens.

Nona was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Inez Jones, brother Wendell Jones, sister Izetta Collar, brother-in-law Loyd Collar, niece Glennis (Collar) Porter, nephew Tom Jones, great-niece Erin (Bryant) Suchy.

She is survived by her two sisters Crystal Fielder and husband Earl of Farmington, NM and Carole Turner and husband Gary of Vici, OK; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
