IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Yulonda Lee
Taylor
October 13, 1935 – December 12, 2019
Yulonda Lee Taylor was born to Ovel and Melba (Dearing) Bullard, October 13, 1935. She passed from this life December 12, 2019 at the age of 84 years and two months. She and her three younger brothers Glen, Haskell, and Donnie were raised on the farm east of Arnett. She attended all twelve years at Arnett Public School. She married W.D.(Bill) Taylor on January 9, 1954. Born to this union were three sons, Wesley Dale, Kevin Lee, and Roland Ray. Bill and Yulonda lived in OKC while Bill attended barber school. They moved to Arnett to the farm shortly after.
She and Bill raised their boys on the farm, milking cows, farming and harvesting wheat. She loved harvest, driving the combine, and cooking full meals for all that showed up. They later moved to town. She loved having her grandkids around and helping raise them. She enjoyed dancing, playing softball, and cooking. She worked at the Shattuck hospital as switchboard operator, the sheriff's office as a dispatcher, and owned and operated Yulondas Thrift Store for several years. Yulonda was very active in many clubs including the Jaycee Janes, Arnett Riding club, Ladies Auxiliary, Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce, organized the Christmas lighting for the court house lawn, helping with concessions at the Rodeo, and summer little league ball. She and Bill enjoyed traveling with Haskell and Linda, hitting as many casinos as possible, and visiting Branson, Missouri.
Yulonda lived to serve and would help anyone.
She was baptized in her later years at the Arnett Church of Christ. Yulonda was preceded in death by her father Ovel, mother Melba, Husband Bill, brothers Glen Bullard and Donnie Bullard, son Kevin, and grandson Cole Taylor. She is survived by one brother Haskell Bullard, wife Linda of Shakopee Minnesota, son Dale and daughter in law Carolyn Taylor of Arnett, and son Roland Taylor of Shattuck, OK. Eight grandchildren and spouses and fifteen great grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers we request donations be made to the Arnett Fire Department or Arnett Kiwanis.
